First I went to see the Tokyo Tower and its surrounding area with the shopping center. It's always amazing to see what they've built around these tourists attractions! That shopping center is an 8-story building with a Metro station, dozens of souvenir shops and even more restaurants!
Next I went to see the area around Hanzomon and the Imperial Palace Garden with its massive unused open plazas and paths around the park.
In the evening I saw the sunset behind the city from an island called Odaiba. The path along the waterfront was surprisingly empty (only a few joggers). I thought this would be a popular tourist spot like the Brooklyn Pier in New York which is almost always fairly crowded.
